Why League City?

We analyzed 60,000 substations across the U.S. grid over three years and found League City to be one of the most at-risk locations on the grid due to heavy congestion and population growth.

The substation is highlighted in red.

Energy storage can provide energy to stabilize the power system and meet hours of greatest demand in the state, strengthening the Texas grid.

Texas has prioritized development of energy storage statewide to avoid future grid outages like the one that left League City without power for three days during the Winter Storm Uri.

The proximity to the League City substation allows for efficient transmission, enhancing grid reliability by providing power to the grid, including the residential area surrounding the substation, in the event of power loss.
