The Project’s Process

Peregrine believes it’s important to engage the community before the permitting process to ensure all community members’ concerns, questions and hopes for the project are heard, and will continue to be an active community partner throughout the life of the project.

Before the permitting process takes place, League City will first develop an energy storage ordinance.

An ordinance and proper permitting for energy storage systems that protect Texans while also allowing for reasonable projects to be built will ensure communities can safely benefit from the many advantages brought by these projects.

The proposed location is already zoned Industrial, and the facility design conforms to setback rules, complying with League City’s Comprehensive Plan.

Landowners should have the right to allow properly zoned development on their land if they want it.

Peregrine is actively seeking feedback on the project.

Energy storage offers landowners unique ways to use their property efficiently, bring in additional revenue and serve their community and state by supplying additional megawatts to the grid.
